Remote Solar Station – RSS01

The RSS01 is a versatile, environmentally protected (UV), solar powered housing suitable for use with a variety of our wireless products including the popular SMS Lite and WP2P Digital.

The enclosure is designed for use in urban and rural locations that lack access to mains power systems.

This article contains application details of the RSS01 and our other solar solutions.

The RSS01 includes the solar controller, solar panel with mounting brackets, and battery.

The solar panel and battery capacity have been selected and optimised to provide (typically) 10 days of standby operation over the radio networks on which QTech wireless products operate.

Approximately 8 hours of sunlight is required to fully recharge a depleted battery.
