Remote Solar Station – RSS02

The RSS02 is a versatile, environmentally protected (UV), solar powered housing suitable for enclosing a variety of our wireless products including the SMS Controller and WP2P Analogue.

The enclosure is designed for use in urban and rural locations that lack access to mains power systems.

This article contains application details of the RSS01 and our other solar solutions.

The solar panel and battery capacity have been selected and optimised to provide (typically) 10 days of standby operation over radio networks on which QTech wireless products operate.

The RSS02 includes the solar controller, solar panel with brackets, and battery.

Approximately 30 hours of sunlight is required to fully recharge a depleted battery.
